Match Preview LS14 | Selangor FC vs Johor Darul Ta’zim FC | Curtain Raiser For 2026 Against JDT

Today, Selangor FC will host Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) FC in the 14th match of the 2025/26 Super League at Stadium MBPJ, Kelana Jaya, with kick-off at 8:15 pm.

The Red Giants currently sit third in the table with 25 points from 12 matches, having won eight, drawn one, and lost three including 27 goals during the first round of the season.

Selangor FC Head Coach Christophe Gamel sees this match as an important measure of the team’s progress at the start of the league’s second round.

“This match will show us what we need to improve, what we should maintain, and how we can create more opportunities while managing the game more effectively. They are strong and consistently competitive, but I believe that attention to even the smallest details can make all the difference,” Gamel said.

In terms of player availability, four players remain sidelined for the #SFCJDT: Sharul Nazeem (ACL injury), Samuel Somerville (broken toe), Izwan Yuslan (clavicle injury), and Sikh Izhan (broken wrist). Meanwhile, Mohammad Abualnadi has returned to full training following an adductor muscle injury and is ready to be included alongside his teammates in the fight for the crest.

In addition, the two loan players who have now returned to the Red and Yellow family, Safuwan Baharudin and Alexander Agyarkwa, will be available to play from 5 January in line with the official schedule of the MFL second transfer window.

Selangor FC management wishes the team every success and is confident that the players will give their all on the pitch tonight. Come on, Red Giants!
